Usha Martin has been a strong believer of making a positive contribution to the society by working closely with multiple stakeholders, and extending its help on issues such as women empowerment, education, healthcare, agriculture, animal husbandry,and village development. The initiatives are spread over 200 villages, which covers more than 50,000 households. Our approach has been to enhance prosperity in the community by empowering the people, working together with them as partners, building their skills and capabilities, and putting the local resources to the best use for a sustainable development.

TVM and The Development Model
For economic transformation and social upliftment in rural area, we have developed an integrated and scalable model in the form of Total Village Management (TVM). The eight pillars that form the foundation of the TVM Model are:

At present, the scope of TVM implementation extends to more than 15O villages in Jharkhand with prime focus on:

- Health, Nutrition & Sanitation
- Education
- Women’s Empowerment
- Energy Inclusion
- Capacity Building and Market Linkage
- Livelihood and Financial Inclusion
These activities have been instrumental in community development and integrated prosperity, and have covered more than 50,000 households spread over more than 300 villages.
